At Dome Construction, we are continually improving the ways in which we work with our clients, as well as how we work together as a team. Highlights of some of our most recent projects show that we are always raising the standards for quality and customer satisfaction. Dome Construction recently started work on the Novartis Exit M Building Project in Emeryville. This project includes the renovation of three areas in effort to relocate the existing operations in Building M, to Buildings 4 and G. The scope includes the demolition of the existing offices on the first-floor, the demolition of labs for the installation of new lab casework, and a wash facility consisting of three glass-washers, two autoclaves, and a depyrogen oven, as well as the renovation of an existing laboratory space for a new laboratory functions. Also in the Biotech area, Dome in working with AIC Labs in Alameda. This Design-Build MEPS is a conversion of an existing 31,000 square foot space with open offices to a combination of offices (9,000 square feet,) labs (9,000 square feet) and a shop (13,000 square feet.) Dome was selected to construct the Genentech, Inc. B4.2 Cell Line Development Renovations. This project consisted of 9,000 square feet of renovations to existing lab space for a new laboratory function. The work includes the demolition of all existing HVAC distribution, select demolition of existing walls and finishes, and select demolition of laboratory casework. Work also includes new laboratory casework, a cold room, and all new HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical distribution for new a laboratory function. Existing finishes were cosmetically upgraded. Zozano Pharmaceuticals recently awarded Dome their Pilot Plant Construction project. This 20,000 square foot build-out of an existing tilt-up building into a new Clinical Aseptic Manufacturing facility, includes the installation of all new Mechanical and Process Utilities systems, and the removal of a concrete slab in order to install new foundations for a steel structure. Dome recently began construction on Wareham Development’s JBEI – 4th Floor Laboratory & Office Space TI project in Emeryville. This cold-shell full-floor build-out is 50% labs and 50% office space, and is due for completion in summer 2008. Dome continues construction on the Marin Health and Wellness campus. This project will encompass 74,000 square feet of renovations to 5 buildings - including surrounding site-work - to produce a campus-like area. The buildings will house the County of Marin’s Public Health Clinic, Bill and Administration, as well as Youth and Family Services and Mental Health programs. The buildings will also have conference and training rooms for staff and client education. This project has been designed to LEED Silver standards with a goal of obtaining a LEED Gold. Full occupancy is expected by summer 2008. Dome was selected to construct the Novartis Q4/R4 Interior Finish Refresh project. This project, located in the Novartis Campus in Emeryville, includes the tenant improvements of four floors of Building Q and R. Dome continues to work on the Parkmerced 9 Tower Lobby Renovations in San Francisco. This project consists of the renovation of 9 apartment tower lobbies within the Villas Parkmerced complex. The scope of work includes steel and glass canopies, new concrete walkways, and new interior lobby renovation. Dome continues work on the Genentech South San Francisco Campus with the B3A Finite T-270 project, located inside Genentech’s B3 Manufacturing complex. The scope of work includes piping and instrumentation upgrades at (1) 12k Fermenters - T-270. Major upgrades to the interior of the vessel include a tank baffle and an agitator. Also on the South San Francisco Campus, Dome is working on Genentech’s E-coli Initial Purification (ECIP) project. The renovation of this 7,395 square foot space, existing for aseptic manufacturing, is to include the installation of two new 2,500L buffer preparation tanks, a stainless steel platform, as well as a new CIP skid. The new CIP supply and return distribution piping, and transfer piping will be installed through clean manufacturing spaces. Work incorporated all new automation with the installation of new control panels throughout the facility. All finishes that were installed met clean room classifications. In the Healthcare arena, Dome begins work on the Durand Building Renovation project at Stanford University. This MEP design-build project involves upgrading two stairwells at the end of each building, existing corridors, and conference rooms. The second phase of the project will consist of gutting over 10,000 square feet of existing office space, converting it into lab space. Nektar Therapeutics and Dome Construction continue the tenant improvement upgrades in the Workplace Improvement project.
