HOK Architects | LEED Certified
7th Floor
San Francisco
The seventh floor was a continuation of the original build-out. This LEED certified project: Improvement to open and private offices, conference rooms, and kitchens located on two floors within an historic, downtown, high-rise building. This project implemented a new D.A.L.I. lighting system (Digitally Addressable Lighting Interface), audiovisual systems, and high-end millwork. The new electrical and HVAC systems were design/build.
• A site located adjacent to public transportation
• Bicycle storage and shower facilities
• A lack of any leased parking spaces for personal vehicles
• An energy-efficient lighting system with a low lighting-power density
• Voluntarily exceeding energy-efficiency requirements
• Recycled-content materials including carpeting, metals, drywall, insulation and ceiling tiles, plus rapidly-renewable materials such as bamboo and linoleum, and many materials manufactured locally (with a 500-mile radius)
• Recycling waste materials during construction
• Use of low-VOC adhesives, sealants, and paints
• A comprehensive IAQ program
• Space with plenty of natural daylight
