St. Rose Hospital
Chiller / Generator Upgrade Project
Hayward
A design-build project that involved pre-construction services from the
design/development phase through project completion. A central plant was
constructed to meet the hospital’s expanding needs. The scope of
the project consisted of relocating main utilities; building a new concrete
block structure to house a new 1250 KW generator, associated switchgear
and transfer switches; two new 200 ton chillers; heat exchanger; and cooling
tower and pumps. This project also involved re-piping the existing facility,
and the installation of new HVAC units for the patient tower.
