Summer 2008 Thank you for checking out our website. We hope you find the site useful, informative, and easy to navigate. We’re interested in any feedback you may have as we continue to improve how we communicate with our clients, industry colleagues, and subcontractors. WHEW! Did someone mention a recession? Well, you certainly wouldn’t be able to guess by looking at our current workload! All of our Focus Groups are extremely busy. In the Healthcare arena, The Kaiser ER Expansion project in Richmond is moving along with our talented team, headed by Evan Marks. In the North Bay, the Marin Health & Wellness project team has delivered Buildings ‘A’ & ‘B’ and are busy with Buildings ‘C,’ ‘D’ and ‘E.’ The $30MM project is scheduled for completion this October and we are anticipating a LEED Gold certification. In the Tenant Improvement group, Brent Miller and his team were recently awarded the Stanford Law School project. The Stanford crew is also full-speed ahead on the Porter Drive project and the Stanford Durand Renovation project, which will soon be wrapping up. Right around the same time, the Stanford Grant Building project will begin construction. Also noteworthy, Stanford recently selected Dome Construction to remodel the Stanford Row Kitchens. Our talented team will begin this project in July and will complete the project in early September. Our Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical team is busy as Dome Construction was recently awarded a significant project with Amyris in Emeryville and is in the process of turning over the JBEI project, also in Emeryville. We are also pleased to announce that BioMarin recently awarded us the pre-construction for the Galli East project in Novato. In South San Francisco, we are working on a Pilot Plant for LS9 and are beginning the build-out of the 4th Floor of Genentech’s Building 15. The Seismic & Historic Group will be hard at work with the seismic renovation of Wareham Development’s 10th Street property in Berkeley and with Genentech’s B5 Data Center project in South San Francisco. All of the growth that we have experienced has opened up the opportunity to welcome a number new faces to Dome Construction. Robert Leyva, Melinda George, Avaline Feliciano, Iris Boulware, Ed Rose, David Kellogg, Adam Roda, Robert Gomez and David Wood have joined our operations/estimating group while John Spenser is our newest Superintendent. We are also pleased to have Rudy Singelstad, John Ehle and Stuart Campbell as Project Engineer interns and Cynthia Garcia as our Office Assistant intern. Dome Construction is also proud to announce that Ralf Elsaesser, Lisa Rose and Ed Shea have joined John Robertson and David Kolonay as the company’s newest LEED Accredited Professionals.
Thanks for taking the time to check out what’s new at Dome. Of course, if you are interested in working with us or for us, we would welcome a note or call. Regards, Director of Business Development |
