Company History

Dome Construction Corporation was founded in 1969 as a Construction Manager and General Contractor specializing in commercial renovation and new construction projects in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Over the years, we have distinguished ourselves through personal attention and an extraordinary level of professionalism. To remain flexible, yet offer meticulous attention to detail, we have structured Dome Construction as a medium-sized company, and currently employ approximately 160 people.

  • 2005: 20th Year Anniversary of continuously working at Genentech South San Francisco Campus
  • 2004: Completed more than $100 million in construction throughout the Greater Bay Area

  • 2003: Completed Abgenix Building 3 Biotech Manufacturing facility of more than $50 million

  • 2002 Completed more than $109 million in construction.
  • 1993: Established Focus Groups developing core competencies in biotechnology/pharmaceutical, healthcare, tenant improvements, seismic upgrades and historic renovations, and special projects
  • 1992: Completed Genentech Building 3B Manufacturing Project
  • 1985: Launched our biotechnology services practice in 1985 with the successful completion of the Genentech OMP project
  • 1975: Completed first medical project for St. Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco
  • 1969: Completed our first project: a jewelry store in San Francisco
